Our client is seeking for a gardener to be based in Abernethy Road. Our client specialises in the maintenance, presentation and asset management of Open Space and Grounds environments that people rely on every day. The Grounds Maintenance Operative is responsible for the care, maintenance, and ongoing development of customer sites and associated facilities, using professional horticultural and grounds maintenance techniques in line with approved plans and schedules

Working hours:

6:30 AM- 2:36 PM (Monday- Friday)

Pay rates: $ 33.75

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hand-operated mowing and ride-on mower operations.
  • Carry out brush cutting, hedging, and general vegetation control.
  • Undertake weed control in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Complete minor handyman duties, primarily cleaning windows and pumps.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of customer sites and facilities.
  • Use an iPad or similar device to record tasks, complete reports, and follow work schedules.
  • Operate equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Drive a company vehicle, when required, to attend work sites.

Requirements

  • Valid White Card.
  • Current Spray Ticket (chemical application certification).
  • Manual Western Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Proven gardening or landscaping experience.
  • Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team
